Welcome to Macintosh is an application that, when launched, will play a sound and show a dialog-box. That’s just about it.
Requirements
Got absoulutely no idea, accept that it needs ATLEAST 750 kb of free RAM and that it runs fine on my Mac LC.
How do I "install" it?
Easy. Put it in your Startup Items folder in your System folder and it will launch every time you restart your Macintosh. To prevent it from opening each time you start up, you can press shift as Finder starts up (after the extensions have loaded). You can of course just double-click it, but that wouldn’t be the same...
Who made this?
This extremely useful little piece of software was made by Daniel Stødle. If you like it, feel free to send me a postcard or an e-mail. My e-mail adress is Hakon.Stodle@kunst.hitos.no and my snail-mail adress is

Future versions...
Sorry, I’m not planning on any new updates. (Eh? Sorry about THAT?) One of the reasons to that there probably won’t be any updates is that Welcome to Macintosh was programmed in the assembly language... But of course, if you REALLY would like me to make new versions of Welcome to Macintosh, you could send me some money instead of a lame postcard or even lamer e-mail message...
